Little Roses Foundation responds to and supports the United Nations’ sustainable development goals (UNSDG17) and will be a pioneer in mobilizing NGOs, domestic and international social charity funds in the application of advanced technologies, saving energy, reducing environmental impacts to reduce poverty through combating climate change, and supporting United Nations organizations such as UNESCO, Unicef, and prestigious international environmental organizations.

1. The Sustainable Tree Planting Program with WWF – Vietnam

Little Roses Foundation, in collaboration with WWF Vietnam, will bring synergy and resonance to spread a love of nature, preserve and safeguard the environment, and measure and contribute to the reduction of harmful agents, reduce the risks and impacts of climate change and to promote sustainable development. Deforestation can have devastating effects on the environment, prevent poverty by providing ethnic minority households with the opportunity to plant and care for trees, and contribute to reducing the risks and impacts of climate change.

Estimated budget: 500 million VND per year (implementation will only occur if sufficient funding is secured).

2. Global Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) and CFA VN

Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) is a UK government-funded technical assistance program that directly addresses the severity and urgency of the climate crisis. Until January 15, 2023, active projects in Vietnam are invited to respond to the call for proposals.

The opportunity for Little Roses Foundation and NHG, its partners and benefactors, to participate in CFA will be the premise for the UNSDG17 sustainable university project with many advanced and modern technology majors, contributing to promote the development of quality and advanced human resources for sustainable management and operation of projects related to the reduction of impacts on the environment, in support of achieving UNSDG17’s goal of sustainable development.

Estimated budget: CFA will fund $4 million per year for 4 years (the project will only be carried out if the necessary funds are raised).

3. United Nations Vietnam

The Sustainable Development Goals call for global action to end poverty, safeguard the environment and global climate, and ensure that all people can live in peace and prosperity. These are the objectives being pursued by the United Nations Vietnam. In Vietnam, the United Nations implemented more than 186 regional or national initiatives in 2023 in order to promote and realize actions with a significant impact on society and the nation.

LRF will orient its development towards sustainable development in the forthcoming road map, partnering with the United Nations Vietnam and its affiliated organizations such as UNESCO, Unicef, etc. In the period between 2022 and the end of 2030, the wealth and knowledge of the world’s foremost experts, as well as grants and non-returnable contributions, assist LRF in its pursuit of sustainable development.
